Turkey Picadillo

What you need:

1 lb. ground turkey
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
14 1/2 oz. can stewed tomatoes
1 medium Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
1/4 c. golden raisins
2 Tbsp. pimento stuffed olives, thinly sliced
cooked rice, as needed
1/4 c. almonds, toasted
What to do:
1. In large skillet over medium-high heat, saute turkey, onion, green pepper and garlic until turkey is no longer pink.
2. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, tomatoes, apple, raisins and olives. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 to 20 min.
3. Serve over rice and top with toasted almonds.
